What’s happening in our local real estate market? Today I’ll take a quick moment to give you an update on the central Pennsylvania market.
Year to date, we have seen a 13% increase in the median home values in central Pennsylvania. That is awesome for our home sellers. The number of homes sold year to date is up 9%. I know a lot of times we’re hearing that there’s not a lot of inventory, but the truth is that there are plenty of homes coming on the market. They’re just selling right away. In fact, homes are selling in an average of six days.

The number of new listings coming on the market has gone up. Year to date, 200 more homes have come on the market compared to last year. The number of pending home sales is also up 16%. This tells us that there is a ton of activity.
